The last Cosy Nook of 2019 with New York based Thea Mesirow & Aaron Foster Breilyn for the 5th and last concert of their Actualizing Communities European tour (Amsterdam, Berlin, Düsseldorf, London).

Thea Mesirow

A cellist who performs contemporary and classical music, as well as rock, pop, musical theatre, and recording for film. As both a soloist and collaborator Thea has worked with the likes of Michael Pisaro, Evan Ziporyn, Christopher Adler, Reiko Füting, Annie Gosfield, and Sofia Gubaidulina. A member of Quartet121, The Nouveau Classical Project, Artists by Any Other Name, one-half of Berrow Duo. She is a strong advocate for women in music.

Aaron Foster Breilyn

A composer and performer whose music often focuses on the tension on the tension and politics in musical situations. He is the co-founder and co-director of the ‘co-incidence festival in Boston.

Thea and Aaron  have been collaborating for 7 years and met when studying at California Institute of the Arts.

Cosy Nook

(since 2016) a small cove in South London, where we occasionally come together to play, listen to and share words, sounds and other gems, polished or unpolished. (Named after a small rocky bay littered with gem stones smoothed by the fierce tidal waters of New Zealand South Island).
