A first attempt at using images as scores during Wandelweiser annual meeting in Austria.
The score
Each performer involved prepares a soundtrack or a score for one or more clips chosen blindly (according to title and length) from a selection of my Moving Still video works, a growing collection of silent documents of the everyday; spider talk, highland wind, last apple, a crossing in Paris, a seagull in Inverness….
From these choices a score with titles, timings of the selected works and performers name was created.
Film musik
The chosen works are projected and synchronised to their imagined sonic renditions. Audience and musicians discover and experience together the random narrative thus created.
