Cornelius Cardew composed experimental works for each of the seven paragraphs of The Great Learning by Confucius (translated into English by Ezra Pound). Each piece is for different instrumentation. Paragraph 3 (1970) is for voices and large instruments.

The aim of the Jeux de Bouches project was to bring together the various cultural, social and educational structures of a small city to work together with invited artists around a common theme – the mouth organ. It concluded with a weekend of events: an exhibition, a street parade, a public banquet and 2 evening of performances.

A partnership with JPF cultural centre, CDLA (center for artists books) and the city council of St Yrieix la Perche.
