Cosy Nook with Bouche Bée

For this first event we celebrated Bouche Bée becoming a trio and my brand new cd Ode (owed) to O

Bouche bée performed Peckinpah Trio #7 (2004) by Antoine Beuger, Ohh (2017) by Emmanuelle Waeckerlé and finished with an improvisation before the small audience joined us for Stones (1969) by Christian Wollf.

Bouche Bée (a French phrase that translates as "open-mouthed, gaping, gawping) was formed in 2005 as the duo of Emmanuelle Waeckerlé on voice and Petri Huurinainen on guitar
In 2015, the pair met saxophonist John Eyles when they were all involved in a performance of Cornelius Cardew's The Great Learning at Union Chapel in Islington in 2015. The three began playing together, including at Eddie Prévost's Friday evening workshops, leading to the saxophonist joining Bouche Bée, the three playing their first trio gig in June 2017.
