BOUCHE BÉE too
improvisation on the edges of language
2009

Emmanuelle Waeckerlé (voice, live electronics)
Petri Huurinainen (acoustic guitar with sampler)

BOUCHE BEE was formed in 2006 and has performed in England, France, Spain and Austria.
Voice and guitar respond to or (mis)lead one another, but always react in the moment.
Since September 2008 I am using B.B as a platform where I can experiment with connecting visual and sonic representations of my voice. This apparently seemless interplay is created with VILMA and VALTER.

VILMA is a transformative software reacting to sound input, to create real time responsive manipulation of my scoring system and other material (photographs, text, drawing…). What is produced sonically (in terms of texture, pitch and volume) by my voice and other instrument does create visual material that can in turn influence the visual and sonic content of the performance in the making.

VALTER is transformative software designed for my particular ways with voice and spoken words.

VALTER and VILMA were programmed in Max MSP and Jitter by Sebastian Lexer
