Semiotic and visual deconstruction of the poster campaign of the French presidential elections of 2007. All images are fragments of the posters, used by the 12 candidates, all carefully constructed, successfully, to better seduce and convince us. Segolene Royal has borrowed Barbara Kruger’s crude and catchy style, Nicolas Sarkozy the candid and naïve blue sky and white clouds of Magritte. Interesting to see what happens when you separate the medium from the message.
