Newsflash is a clash. Newsflash flirts with posing/pausing and mortality, faux-fashion and terrorist chic. The artists respond with humour and pathos to media manipulation in relation to War and Terrorism – while attempting to make a personal sign of protest. In their series of tableaux, the duo also refers to Activism and Celebrity. Behind their seemingly desperate satire and selfmocking attitude lurks a critique of violence and demagogy.
