Newsflash is a clash. Newsflash flirts with posing/pausing, faux-fashion and terrorist chic.
We respond with humour and pathos to media manipulation in relation to War and Terrorism – while attempting to make a personal sign of protest. In a series of moving tableau vignettes, we also refers to Activism and Celebrity.
Behind our seemingly desperate satire and self-mocking attitude lurks a critique of violence and demagogy.

The performance was devised for Berlin International Meetings 2003 @ La gaité Lyrique in Paris, ironically cancelled at the last minute by “ arrêté prefectorale “ ( decree) from the Prefecture de Police for national security reasons. It has been performed to camera and now exists as a video.
