An experimental documentary weaving together some of the highlights of the collaborative project Jeux de bouches in St Yrieix la Perche. with the recording of Cornelius Cardew’s The great learning paragraph 3 performed during the project by town people conducted by Sebastian Lexer.

Jeux de bouches was a weekend celebrating the mouth organ in all its glory, associating cooking and writing, eating and speaking, digesting and listening, all fascinating activities essential to French living but rarely celebrated the way Rabelais did. The final event took place the weekend of the 7th 8th 9th of February in St Yrieix la Perche, a town of 8000 inhabitants, south of Limoges in the centre of France. For details of the project see archive 2006 2009 section.
