Whether one is looking for a powerful feminist expression, a series of innovative text experiments, or a slab of avant-garde bliss, Ode (owed) to O delivers it in an exciting way. from Conor Kutz review (Nov 2017)

Ode (owed) to O is a bit of a concept CD existing between spoken word, sound poetry and experimental music, consisting of reading through (CD 1) and reading from (CD 2) a book of words to a single letter, to breath and silence.

It represents a follow up and conclusion, of over 6 years of experimental reading of the famous erotic novel Histoire d’O first published in 1954, under the pen name Pauline Réage.
In Reading (Story of) O published in 2015 by uniformbooks I reprinted, in parallel, both English and French versions in a graphic reworking of the original story accompanied by three further texts, as a meditation on love from the perspective of the writer, the reader and the character: (Story of) A, (Story of) E, and (Reading) O, a series of instructions for reading alone or with others.

Ode (owed) to O contains recordings and arrangements of collective readings - based upon the (Reading) O instructions - and performing of Only and Ohh, 2 new scores for voices and instruments, where the original story is gradually abstracted in an attempt to release O from an inevitable end.
Alone together, you aloud to yourself, your mouth moving O, your voice to those. Echoes of O, unbound for moment, of O, of you.
