The Fall

Life as an endless fall. Life as learning to fall gracefully.

Human figures are drawn directly onto the gallery walls from ceiling to floor. Each one in a different state of imbalance. The unlikely actors of my metaphor are footballers taken from the sport pages of the Evening standard; captured by the camera in mid air, in the process of falling.
Isolated from their original context the grace of their poses is more reminiscent of classical ballet than football.

Exhibited in June 2000 at the Spring studios in London
