2000
(I never know when to stop)
Duration 60 minutes
The performance is about Time passing and passing Time. An echo effect is created live by pointing both camera and projector towards the stage. The viewer is faced with the performer lined up with 4 projections of herself in diminishing perspective, all in sync with each other.
The story unravels page by page (torn by the performers hand) following the beat of a soundtrack where she tells the same story counting each second in between words. For this performance 3 different pads are used. The degree of synchronicity between spoken and written word varies.
This performance challenges the endurance of both the performer and the audience.
Performed for Nottingham EXPO/NOW festival. in November 2000, for Paris/Berlin international meeting at the Brotfabrik movie theatre in Berlin in June 2001.
