Please do sit down strips down the ritual of the social visit to its bare minimum; the conventional dialogue that takes place when two human beings meet. These lines are repeated endlessly by the performer who becomes both the visitor and the visited.
In the installation the viewer sits down in front of a monitor where Please do sit down is shown, thus taking on the role of a visitor; one who cannot speak, because his/her lines have already been said.
